Sristi Joshi Malla brings her rich experience of working with home based workers since 2000. Until recently, she was the Chairperson of SABAH Nepal (SAARC Business Association of Home-Based workers) since 2012 and a Board Member since 2009 working pro bono. At SABAH, she led over 4000 members towards economic empowerment while she amplified SABAH’s visibility by showcasing its work to diverse dignitaries including the President of Nepal, HM Queen Mother of Bhutan, Prime Minister of Nepal, Minister of Labor, Minister of Women, Children and Elderly, South Asian Women Parliamentarians, US Senators, UN Executive Board, UN Resident Coordinator, several UN dignitaries, SAARC Secretary Generals and EU Ambassador.
 
Before joining HomeNet South Asia as the Regional Coordinator, Sristi Joshi Malla was an Advisory Board Member of HomeNet South Asia. An affiliate of HomeNet International, she is involved in several other networks too. She is a founding Board Member of BEES network in South Asia, and Global Compact Nepal. She has been an active member of Women Friendly Disaster Management Core Group, and National Network for Beijing Review Nepal. She has also served as a Board Member of Women’s Fund Asia (earlier known as South Asia Women’s Fund).
 
Sristi has spoken at different prestigious forums internationally including Singapore Fintech Festival, Good Pitch (Denmark), Festival of Inclusive Trade, ICIMOD and South Asian Women’s Alliance (SAWA). She has participated in various international conferences of USAID, Care International, World Bank, UN Women, and WIEGO among others. Her innovative initiatives and diverse programs are highlighted in the SAARC region. In 2011 she organized Ananta, a remarkable and unique fashion show in South Asia for home-based workers which gave SABAH enormous visibility and mileage. She recently designed and curated a larger than life tapestry for HomeNet South Asia Congress which measures 90x100 inches and is housed in the SAARC Secretariat in Kathmandu.
 
A member of Nepal Art Council, Sristi is an artist who is a pioneer of stained glass in Nepal, and has carved a niche for herself. She creates masterpieces for residences and corporate houses and is sought after for her customized designs. She also introduced fresh homemade chocolates to the corporate world in Nepal. An entrepreneur who owns Moni’s Creations and Moni’s Chocolates, Sristi Joshi Malla is also a recipient of Navadevi Laxmi Award 2005 and Woman Achiever Award 2004/2005 by Consortium of Women Entrepreneurs of India (CWEI).
