As Programme Coordinator, Sonakshi Agarwal contributes to the project design, implementation and supervision of HNSA's research and advocacy projects with home-based workers and their representative organisations. Additionally, she supports the administration and finance functions of the organisation. She has previously worked on research and field assignments in, both, the informal and formal labour sector with organisations like Action Aid India and Marks and Spencer, India.
The gig economy, intersectionalities between gender and work, and linkages between formal and informal labour sector, are her research interests. Ms. Agarwal has completed a Bachelor’s Degree (Honours) in Commerce from Gargi College, University of Delhi, and a Masters Degree in Human Resources Management and Labour Relations from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai.
