Richa Macsuedon is social development professional with over three decades of extensive experience of working with grassroot level NGOs like URMUL Trust in rural Rajasthan, International NGOs like ActionAid and Save the Children Fund (UK). Richa worked for UNIFEM (now UN Women) as the National Programme Manager for the South Asia Regional Anti-trafficking program.
Across her vast career, she has worked with multiple stakeholders like women’s groups, adolescent girls, community-based organisations, youth, children, NGOs, Aid agencies & government bodies using participatory approaches to design programmes and interventions.
She believes in using sustainable development, economic empowerment, and partnership building as tools to deliver to the most marginalised and vulnerable. Her expertise lies in empowerment of Women and Children and addressing their Human Rights, as well as addressing education, health and livelihood needs of rural communities. She is skilled at strategic planning and management of project, developing innovative models and practices, facilitating organizational linkages and networks for project delivery.
Richa is a MSc in Social Policy and Planning in Developing Countries from the London School Economics. She pursued this course by winning the prestigious Joint Japan World Bank Scholarship. Richa also has a Masters in Social Work from Delhi School of Social Work (DSSW), Delhi University.
